Lessons, Training and Shows
Lessons

The bountiful blue and championship ribbons that line the Seven Hills Farm banner while at horse shows is a testament to Ceyda’s teaching and training program. Clients enjoy private lessons, tailored towards each rider’s individual goals for the sport. Patience, positive reinforcement, and strong foundational skills are the building blocks of Ceyda’s lessons. Whether it is a “flat” day, with the focus on equitation, dressage principles, lateral work, or no-stirrup work, or a “jump” day with gymnastics and other exercises personalized for each horse/rider team, private lessons with Ceyda pave the way for successful achievements of riders’ goals. Ceyda trains from Short Stirrup and the Pony divisions, Children and Adult Amateur, to the Junior and Amateur Hunters and Jumpers.

Training

Ceyda Sezer Dixon’s experience, passion and unique understanding of horse and rider has brought her and her students much success. Training with legends, Anne Kursinski and Chris Kappler, has allowed Ceyda to see the world from the horses’ point-of-view, and provide training rides that foster trust and understanding from the horse.  Whether it is bringing along young horses or tuning up a seasoned hunter or jumper, Ceyda  always puts the horses needs first. Utilizing the classic American forward style of riding engrained in Ceyda’s training, the horses at Seven Hills “think” forward and jump with confidence. Clients feel an improvement with their horses even after a few training rides per month.

Shows

Seven Hills Farm usually attends anywhere from twelve to twenty-one USEF horse shows a year. Seven Hills strives to meet the goals of clients when selecting the shows on the schedule. There is a good mix of locally held USEF shows along with ones elsewhere in the Southeast.  Many clients have the goal of qualifying in their respective divisions for Zone Championships along with prestigious shows like the Washington International. All of the shows on the schedule offer divisions for every level of rider and horse. Ceyda Sezer Dixon’s one-on-one coaching and unparalleled management at the shows creates a focused and fun competition environment.
